ADVANCED CYCLONE SYSTEMS (ACS)(Portugal)

Cyclone optimization for powder recovery and emission control

Advanced Cyclone System – ACS’s

unique scientific knowledge in cyclone design optimization and particle agglomeration modeling (PACyc), in partnership with the Engineering Faculty of Porto (FEUP) for R&D.

Established in May 2008 by Pedro Araújo and Romualdo Salcedo, supported by the CoHitec program and promoted by COTEC (association of companies for innovation). Backed by Armilar Venture Partners in 2009. Headquarters in Portugal.

  • Applications Include
    · Particulate Matter (PM) Emission Control in boilers, furnaces and dryers and general dedusting;
    · Product (powder) Recovery in the chemical, food and pharmaceutical industries.

    Technologies Include

    • Hurricane – Numerically optimized cyclones, considering particle agglomeration, unfolding in several different cyclone families.
    • ReCyclone MH – Optimized cyclones with mechanical recirculation.
    • ReCyclone EH Optimized cyclones with electrostatic recirculation1.
